Why Learn about Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)?  (link from FDA.gov)

Imagine there is a huge food producer that makes a multitude of  products consumed by millions of Americans each year.  Now imagine that the food producer knows their products kill 100,000 people and cause over 2 million serious adverse health effects every year, yet they do not stop producing or selling them.  Would the American people allow those products to stay on the market?  Would we hold the food producer accountable and insist on charges of involuntary manslaughter if the statistics are known facts found on the FDA website? (see below)

  • Over 2 MILLION serious Adverse Drugs Reaction (ADRs) yearly
  • 100,000 DEATHS yearly
  • ADRs 4th leading cause of death ahead of pulmonary disease, diabetes, AIDS, pneumonia, accidents and automobile deaths
  • Ambulatory patients ADR rate—unknown
  • Nursing home patients ADR rate— 350,000 yearly

Imagine the FDA is  approving five different brands of cookies that they know kill 100,000 people a year and cause health problems in over 2 million people a year.  Would we allow them to continue to approve those cookies?  Would we feed those cookies to our children?  Would we insist on charges of involuntary manslaughter for the FDA’s approval of killer cookies?  I don’t think we would tolerate such unethical, hazardous practices, and I don’t think we would consume those products.  Yet here we sit in silence,  letting the Food and Drug Administration(FDA), who is responsible for the approval of drugs  sold to the public (that’s YOU and I), knowingly approve harmful products that kill 100,000 people every year and cause over 2 million serious adverse health effects a year, and continue to allow such products to be legally sold to the American people without question or punishment.  And the FDA may move some prescription drugs to over the counter status, further pushing the American people towards a society that is completely stuck in a permanent, apathetic Soma haze.   Maybe there is a reason conventional western medicine, or allopathic medicine, mainly focuses on treating symptoms rather than finding and understanding the cause of the ailment.  This monopolization of health care has produced an enormous, highly lucrative market…that kills 100,000 people a year. Alarming sign: It has already been suggested that statins be put in U.S. drinking water.    fdainformation.com:

“Dr. David Graham, a Senior Scientist who has worked for twenty years as an FDA Safety Expert, was interviewed on 60 Minutes in February, 2006: Dr. Graham blames the FDA for allowing such a dangerous drug as Vioxx to be marketed. According to Dr. Graham, who still works at the FDA, “There is a system in place now that will guarantee that unsafe drugs remain on the market.” FDA safety experts have no power, verses FDA agents who approve drugs. One half of the FDA’s funding comes from the major pharmaceutical companies, to speed up the process of developing their drugs. If an FDA safety expert raises questions concerning safety, FDA approval agents almost always ignore them.”

According to lawyersandsettlements.com:

In all, 28% of committee members and voting consultants disclosed a conflict, the most common involving substantial financial dealings from consulting agreements, contracts or grants, and investments. For instance, the study found that 19% of the consulting agreements were worth over $10,000, 30% of the investments involved over $25,000, and 23% of contracts or grants exceeded $100,000.

In the case of Vioxx, ten of the 32 members on the FDA advisory committee that voted to allow the continued sale of Cox-2 pain drugs, including Vioxx, had previously acted as paid consultants for the drugs’ manufacturers.

Firearm-Related Deaths and Injuries

Gun ownership is a controversial issue in the U.S., with a significant portion of the population, including government officials, desiring more gun control, or even a full gun ban.  It is a popular, and often heated topic, and is currently ruling the headlines due to recent cases, such as George Zimmerman and Marissa Alexander, involving legal guns that were claimed to be used for self-defense.

In 2009, 66,768 people were treated in hospitals for nonfatal gun-related injuries.

In 2009, 31, 347 people died as a result of fatal gun-related injuries.  (Can be found on CDC website using this search function)

So we have:

100,000 deaths a year as a result of consuming FDA approved drugs

- 31,347 deaths as a result of gun-related injuries in 2009 =

Consumption of FDA approved drugs killed 68,653 more people than gun-related injuries in 2009.

This is a little dramatic, but if one knows anything about children being given vaccines without parental consent, doctors “firing” patients that won’t accept vaccines, our government’s experimentation on innocent people (search for Dept of Energy human radiation experiments) and police showing up at the homes of those who oppose vaccinating their children, one would understand why this isn’t complete “crazy talk.” UNENUMERATED RIGHTS. We have to stand up for them.

Human Radiation Experiments U.S. Department of Energy

CENSORED IN 1995: 1947 AEC HUMAN RADIATION EXPERIMENTS MEMO

2,000,000 Serious Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs)  a year as a result of consuming FDA approved drugs

-66, 769  non-fatal gun-related injuries treated in hospitals a year =

Consumption of FDA approved pharmaceuticals caused 1,933,231 more serious health problems (serious Adverse Drug Reactions, ADR]) than gun-related injuries treated in hospitals in 2009.

Think of all the gun control advocates and organizations, and the time spent on debating firearm regulation.  Think of the serious and emotional opinions and debates it evokes from people.  Why aren’t we doing the same about deadly drugs pushed by the government?

Raw Milk

The FDA has criminalized the production and transportation of raw milk, even though the right to choose the food you eat is an unenumerated right.  Only 25 states allow the sale of raw milk, with 11 states having complete raw milk bans (USA Today).  The FDA conducts undercover investigations of regular citizens who consume raw milk, raids small dairy farms that produce raw milk, arrests and imposes excessive fines upon those who produce, sell, or transport raw milk, even though there have been NO recorded DEATHS from drinking raw milk since the data first started being collected 39 years ago in 1973, although the CDC claimed there were two between 1998 and 2008.  It is now known those deaths resulted from consuming a type of fresh soft cheese made from raw milk, and not legal under FDA regulations.  The FDA destroys people’s livelihood over food products that have not caused one death in 38 years, yet they approve drugs that kill 100,000 people a year with no repercussions for their knowingly negligent and reckless criminal practices.

“We haven’t seen any deaths from raw milk since the data started being collected in 1973,” McAfee says. “[There are] no deaths in the CDC website from raw milk. There have been over 80 deaths from pasteurized milk during that time period if you include the Jalisco cheese incident which killed 50 people all by itself in 1985 – pasteurized milk cheese.

Terrorism

During a 10 year period, from September 11, 2001  until 2011, 30 Americans were killed in terrorist attacks inside the U.S.A.  158 people have been killed from terrorist attacks outside of the U.S. since 2005, with most occurring inside the war zone in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The TSA has a budget of 8 BILLION dollars that allows unqualified non-officers who often do not undergo complete background checks to molest us and our children.  We give up the most essential aspect of freedom, the fourth amendment, those beautiful words that give us the right to have privacy, that ensure, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”  We cannot let this go.  We must be loud.

According to data taken over the past five years, you have had a 1 in 20 million chance of dying from a terrorist attack.  In 2010 (the latest report), 15 Americans were killed in terrorist attacks; nine died in 2009; 33 in 2008; 17 in 2007; 28 in 2006; and 56 in 2005. The vast majority of private U.S. citizens killed in terrorist attacks died in the war zone countries of Iraq and Afghanistan.

REALITY CHECK:  The police have NO OBLIGATION TO PROTECT YOU (*1,2,3) AND NEITHER DOES THE GOVERNMENT(*4).  So why is the government forcing laws and regulations upon the public that are not wanted by the people, and taking away our basic human rights, thus being an enormous waste of time and energy that could be spent doing much more important things?  WAKE UP.  You cannot justify these continued violations of our civil rights.  WAKE UP.

Something really stinks like rotten chee$e and it’s coming from the FDA’s direction.

Below are some screen shots I took when checking out the FDA site months ago. (Click photos to enlarge)

fda.gov

In the screen shot above we see although Prevnar 13 is being accelerated, “the effectiveness of Prevnar 13 in preventing pneumonia and invasive disease has not yet been demonstrated in controlled clinical studies.”

Prevnar 13 was given accelerated approval for use in people age 65 or over.  On this page the FDA also says they are “waiving the pediatric requirement in children” because “the necessary studies” are “impossible or highly impracticable.”

fda.gov

This screen shot shows that adults 65 or older would now be able to take the drug, but this says the drug has already been approved for infants 6 weeks of age up to children of 5 years. In the above screen shots,  it said the FDA was waiving the tests because they were impossible to do.  According to the FDA, drugs that are first tested and approved for adults can then be approved for children without pediatric testing.  But these drugs are being accelerated without any proof of efficacy, so when will they be approved for children?  Will enough studies have been done by then?

PLEASE spread this informationThe FDA is admittedly killing people, yet taking away our freedoms for drinking  raw milk, which hasn’t caused a known death in 39 years, and for a 1 in 20 million threat of dying from a terrorist attack.  Look at some of the very unethical things our government has done, found on one of their own website, bioethics.gov created in 2009 by Obama:

President’s Bioethics Commission Posts Additional Documents Related to its Historical Investigation of the 1940s U.S. Public Health Service STD Studies in Guatemala (pdf)

President’s Bioethics Commission Posts Additional Documents Related to its Historical Investigation of the 1940s U.S. Public Health Service STD Studies in Guatemala

Secretary Sebelius asks the Commission for ethical advice on the development of medical countermeasures for children

Thimerosal, a preservative containing mercury, is still used in vaccines today.  Everyone knows mercury is not good for you right?  Well, the government wants to change that.  Yes, “mercury is good for you!”

“. . . there is no constitutional right to be protected by the state against being murdered by criminals or madmen. It is monstrous if the state fails to protect its residents against such predators but it does not violate the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment or, we suppose, any other provision of the Constitution. The Constitution is a charter of negative liberties; it tells the state to let people alone; it does not require the federal government or the state to provide services, even so elementary a service as maintaining law and order.”
